Robinson’s marks 80th with fashion fundraiser for two causes

Memo to Ken Kelly: Don’t give up your day job.

And, whoa, what’s this? Ed Bain, supermodel?

That’s just wrong. Or so you might think if you hadn’t heard that the head of the Downtown Victoria Business Association, the CHEK News weatherman and other local personalities were poking fun at themselves on the catwalk for two worthy causes.

The fashion fundraiser April 7 at Robinson’s Outdoor Store doubled as a celebration of the 80th anniversary of the venerable Broad Street emporium George Robinson opened as a bicycle shop in 1929, and a chance for it to give back to the community.
